Do you use Readwise to collect highlights but want more flexibility in how you organize, access, and share them? With Glasp, you can now import your Readwise highlights directly into Glasp. This makes it easier to manage your knowledge, revisit insights, and connect your notes with tools like Notion, Obsidian, and Logseq.
In this tutorial, we’ll walk you step by step through how to connect Readwise with Glasp and import your highlights seamlessly.

Click your profile icon at the top right on the Home or My Highlights page, then go to the Settings page by clicking Settings.

Click Integrations on the left. And then, click Import on the Readwise section.

You see a modal showing up and asking you to input the Readwise access token. Click the Readwise access token text button in blue. It opens a new page on Readwise. If you're asked to log in to Readwise, please do so.

On the Readwise page, you can see a button Get Access Token. Click the button and get the access token.

Once you get the access token, paste it on Glasp's modal. Be careful to keep the token private.

The visibility of the highlights is dependent on your visibility setting. The default setting is Public, meaning your highlights are open to the public and visible to any users on Glasp. If you want to save the highlights privately, check this page.
Also, the color of the highlights is dependent on your setting. Please check this page to see how to update the default color.
How to Set Default Highlight Color
When you click Connect with Readwise, it automatically starts importing the highlights into Glasp.

You can see your imported highlights on My Highlights page.

If you'd like to delete the imported highlights, please go to the My Highlights page. Select the imported article you'd like to delete. At the top right, there is the three dots button, so please click it. You can see Delete Highlight to delete the article and highlights.

If want to remove the connection with Readwise, go to the Integrations page. Click Import in the Readwise section. It shows the modal. Click Remove Connection.

It automatically removes the connection with Readwise.

Yes. You’ll need to sign up for a free Glasp account and install the browser extension before starting the import.
Go to the Readwise settings page, click Get Access Token, copy the token, and paste it into the Glasp modal.
Yes. The token is only used for authentication. It is stored securely, but you should keep it private and not share it with anyone.
By default, imported highlights are public on your Glasp profile. If you’d like to make them private, you’ll need to upgrade to Glasp Premium and update your visibility settings.
No. The import date is used. However, the content of the highlights remains unchanged.
Yes. Imported highlights follow your default highlight color setting in Glasp. You can update this setting before syncing.
Yes. Go to My Highlights, click the three dots on an article or highlight, and choose Delete Highlight.
No. The integration is manual. You’ll need to reconnect or import again whenever you want to update your highlights.
Yes. In the Integrations page, click Remove Connection in the Readwise section to disconnect.
Yes. Importing Readwise highlights into Glasp is free. Premium is only required for private visibility or advanced features.
