Chat with PDF by Glasp is an AI-powered tool that lets you ask questions about any PDF you open in your browser. Install the Glasp Chrome or Safari extension, open a PDF, and chat with it. Ask for summaries, clarifications, definitions, or anything you want to know. Answers stream in real-time and cite the pages they come from. Unlike standalone chat tools, Glasp combines PDF chat with highlights and notes so your reading and your AI conversations stay in one place.

It takes three steps:

1. Install the Glasp browser extension (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Opera, or Brave).
2. Open any PDF on the web, or upload one to your Glasp library.
3. Open the chat sidebar and type your question. Answers stream in as the AI reads your PDF.

Yes. Glasp runs in your browser as an extension, so there's no separate desktop app to install. Open any PDF that's accessible on the web (with open access), click the Glasp icon, and chat. Your chat history is saved to your Glasp account so you can come back later. For PDFs that aren't publicly accessible, you can also upload files to your Glasp library.
