I had expected this to be a sidebar into which highlights could be inserted as quotes. I created side by side panels in VIVALDI using TILES of the Glasp home page and this "post". That works well. This is just a mockup test post proof of concept.

And what does "publish" mean? Can I copy the final post into substack or only to GLASP users? That would be kind of lame.

And what are "hatches"? Random or directed connection-making without just my highlights? How to Hatch a New Idea with Glasp

This has potential with tiled window panels in Vivaldi--a feature I need to use more often

It is also possible to just copy and paste the contents of an annotation, as follows. This would be useful if there are several clips from the same source, to avoid repeating the link for each related clip:

"Memories that link disparate ideas—like “berry” and “sickness” or “enjoyment”—are called associative memories, and they are often emotionally charged. They form in a tiny almond-shaped region of the brain called the amygdala. Though traditionally known as the brain’s “fear center,” the amygdala responds to pleasure and other emotions as well." (But you can't click this para and go to the reference.I assume that is possible with the pulled highlights.)

We think we are passively overtaken by emotions, but we have the power to make them happen, to purposefully manifest them by our choices, attitudes and intentions.

Is Loneliness an emotion? Is awe? can we modify them by choices, attitudes and intentions ?

We can direct our emotions by smell and by music.
