The Power of Reflection and Decision Making

I don't think Li Jiaqi is apologizing to the masses, as public opinion holds no power. Instead, we should focus on understanding the world and continuously updating ourselves. This process allows us to evolve and adapt to new circumstances and challenges.

When it comes to decision making, there are three stages: ideation, evaluation, and incubation. The incubation stage is a crucial time for reflection and deep thinking. It is during this phase that our brains have the opportunity to breathe, away from linear thinking and instead engage in what I like to call "super logic."

Taking the time to reflect and evaluate our decisions is not a quick process. It requires us to create lists and take detailed notes, even if it may seem slow and tedious. This is because we are using a miniature version of our thoughts, which allows us to reduce and refine our ideas. Incubation is the period in which we give birth to our thoughts, just like the Renaissance period gave birth to new ideas and advancements.

Now, take a look at your diary and start considering your decisions. Make sure you allocate time for yourself in a particular field or give "super logic" a chance to operate in some areas of your life.

Here are three actionable pieces of advice to enhance your decision-making process:

  1. Embrace Solitude: Find moments when you can be alone with your thoughts. Disconnect from distractions and allow your mind to freely explore ideas without any external influences. Solitude provides the perfect environment for deep thinking and self-reflection.

  2. Embrace Non-linear Thinking: Break free from linear thinking patterns and embrace the power of creative and non-linear thought processes. Allow your mind to wander and connect seemingly unrelated ideas. This can lead to innovative solutions and unique perspectives.

  3. Embrace Daily Reflection: Set aside time each day to reflect on your decisions, actions, and experiences. Consider what worked well and what didn't. This self-reflection will help you learn from past mistakes and make more informed decisions in the future.

In conclusion, the power of reflection and effective decision making should not be underestimated. By incorporating moments of solitude, non-linear thinking, and daily reflection into our lives, we can enhance our ability to make thoughtful and informed choices. Remember, it is through continuous learning and personal growth that we can navigate the complexities of the world and stay updated with the ever-changing landscape.
