Administrative assistant roles have the highest automation potential at 46%, followed by legal jobs at 44% and architecture and engineering occupations at 37%. Business support, finance, and accounting also fall within the top 5 with a 35% automation potential. Even fields like scientific research and programming face the possibility of being replaced at rates exceeding 30%. The prevalence of AI technology means that relying on shortcuts, memorization, and tricks will no longer provide ample employment opportunities. Tips like "three ways to quickly write an essay" or "five tips to boost your test scores" will no longer be useful.

The problem with relying on shortcuts and tricks is that they do not foster a deep understanding of the subject matter. Instead, they only serve to find ways to complete a task quickly without truly comprehending its essence. Therefore, the first step towards future-proofing your career is to prioritize genuine learning and understanding over seeking instant knowledge. Additionally, lifelong learning is crucial. As much as 85% of new jobs in 2030 will be positions that have never existed before.

Lastly, there are skills that are essential across almost all professions, which AI cannot replicate. These skills include effective communication and the ability to adapt to unexpected events. During my Master's program in the United States, I attended a seminar where someone asked if using ChatGPT to write a thesis would be acceptable. The professor's response was simple yet profound: "Try it and see." While the AI-generated text had correct grammar, the information and citations were inaccurate, and the sources cited did not exist. This serves as evidence that while AI can assist, it is ultimately the human heart and mind that truly get the job done.
