After the outcome appears, compare it with the original reasoning. What did you expect? What happened? Which assumption failed? This step transforms experience into judgment. Without reflection, experience merely accumulates. With reflection, it becomes a library of patterns.

How to cultivate breadth without becoming scattered

The usual advice to "learn more" is too vague. Breadth grows through deliberate variation, not indiscriminate consumption. You do not need to read everything. You need exposure to ideas that challenge the defaults of your current environment.

Learning is no longer just the accumulation of skills. It is the construction of a wider, more flexible map of reality.

And leadership is no longer just the ability to carry a heavier workload. It is the responsibility to decide which workloads should exist at all.

The highest form of productivity is not doing more things. It is making fewer, better choices about what the future should contain.
