About the Video

Chewing gum is made of natural or synthetic materials. Our digestive system can break most of its ingredients such as sweeteners, flavoring, and softeners but our body can not digest the gum resin. Some people believe it takes 7 years to digest Chewing gum but that is just not true.

Even through our body can't digest it entirely the gum doesn't stay in your stomach. It slowly passes through the digestive system and is excreted in your stool the next day. However if large mass of gum is swallowed in short time it can block the digestive tract in children and can lead to some serious health problems.
