The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok, has a Christmas and New Year holiday season filled with a variety of family activities, festive menus in the restaurants, a huge Christmas tree in the lobby, a life- size gingerbread house, and a photo opportunity with Santa Claus. Everything begins with the official ceremony to switch on the Christmas tree lights on 4 December, which takes place in the lobby and Rain Tree Café. Activities include a magic show, gingerbread house decoration, Yule log cake decoration, and carol singing. Children have their own appetizer pass-around while adults take it easy with a festive beverage. All proceeds will go towards helping disadvantaged communities. This event is in partnership with Central Thailand Mission, a non-profit charity foundation, and Shrewsbury International School Bangkok is supporting a range of activities and musical performance.
