During the performance appraisal process, we face some common problems. However, we can take measures to avoid them.

Bias is simply a personality-based tendency, either toward or against something. In the case of performance assessment, bias is toward or against an individual employee. Biases make the evaluation process subjective rather than objective, and they certainly provide the opportunity for a lack of consistency in effect on different groups of employees. So to overcome the bias problem, we need to be objective and not let our feelings of liking or disliking an individual influence our assessment of that person.
