About the Video
In this lesson, you will learn to multiply fractions quickly and easily. \r
To multiply fractions you multiply across the numerators (the top number of a fraction) and multiply across the denominators (the bottom number). \r
\r
An example I always use to start this off is multiply 1/2 with a 1/2. The numerators multiply to give 1 (1 x1), the denominators multiply to give 4 (2x2). Hence a 1/2 multiplied by a 1/2 is 1/4. \r
\r
What about if you multiply 2/3x1/4?\r
Top number (2x1), bottom number (3x4).\r
So 2/3x1/4 = 2/12. To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU
