HISTORY
The origins of the flash mob can be traced back to the early 2000s when a social experiment was conducted in New York City by Bill Wasik, a senior editor at Harper’s Magazine. Wasik invited a group of people to gather at a predetermined location and time, without revealing the purpose of their assembly.
