Without the person in front of my face, and without hearing this person complain about their issues I can only see someone who can be somewhat hard on themselves emotionally.

Essentially, how we think & feel can affect our health, and maybe the factors that have set off this immune disorder aren't necessarily a harsh aspect to the 1st, 6th, or 12th.

It's more that the person could be trapped in a way of thinking that has become poison to their own body.

When interpreting a placement, we don't need to weigh the planet's condition on a scale from "good" to "bad". We can think of what Mars is like (assertive, ambitious, active,...) and whether and/or how Mars will express these qualities when in Venus' sign.

I would like to know what your person said about the class interpretations!

To say it in a different way, the good houses are good because the topics they are associated with are "good" at their basic level (self, family, friends, spouse, kids, support, work, spirituality,...) as opposed to the bad houses which are associated with more difficult topics such as death, loss, etc....
