The PDSA loop (Plan-Do-Study-Act) is a deceptively simple idea from W. Edwards Deming that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving. It is often difficult to see a loop through to the end, as people can get distracted by something else that is more appealing. To apply PDSA, there is no trick, you have to get your organization to close the loops it starts. This is essentially the scientific method as applied to business and can help a company stay ahead of the competition.

He suggests that the great political questions of our time can be addressed by looking to the natural world for models. He criticizes his own culture for assuming that conversations should remain respectful, but the outcome must conform to what is considered "reality". Reality is a tapestry of subjectivities and tacit consensuses, limited by human consciousness and its blind spots for strata of reality that we are unable to perceive.
