I added this disqus.njk file:

It has exactly the same content as your 000-comment.njk (thanks for that pointer!) except for the Disqus shortname. I made no other changes to my Github content. After adding this code, I saw no Disqus box at my site (https://ericliaointerpreting.netlify.app/).
