We need to reframe the narrative towards “BRAIN GAIN” (as opposed to “ BRAIN DRAIN”), with strategic and sustainable solutions that leverage the tremendous academic, clinical, and humanistic passions/expertise and aspirations of international medical graduates (IMGS), international healthcare professionals (IHPs) in the diaspora who are forced to abandon their training/career aspirations because of restrictive/exclusive demands for non-existant US/Canadian work experiences.
