The funding round was led by Polychain Capital, with participation from other investors such as Griffin Gaming Partners and Franklin Templeton. The funds will be used to further develop Shrapnel, which is set to release an early-access version in December 2023 and a full launch in 2024. Shrapnel is a sci-fi extraction shooter game that will offer in-game content as NFTs on its private crypto network built on Avalanche. The game also emphasizes user-generated content and the ability to mint NFTs.
