Even when one wishes to foster intellectual curiosity in one’s offspring, it can be vexing to be asked a question to which one hasn’t the faintest clue of an answer.
It is a wonderful feeling to have one’s brain stretched and tested, to know both that one has knowledge, and that one is gaining more.
Each step leads to the next, and sometimes there is virtue in not allowing common sense to call you back.
