Shame is crippling. When it rules our life, we live either in the compensated or in the collapsed state. In both cases, we cannot come home.
The very first step in healing the wound of shame is to start with understanding, awareness and acceptance.
But shock hits us at such a deep level in our psyche that it affects our physiology; the way our body reacts to the outside. To be sure, shame also affects our energy, but shock seems to go to our deepest core.
